Ultra light weight, low inertia, 1.375" inches injection molded, XL2 front wheels are designed for all quick accelerating, top-speed, mousetrap powered, rubber band powered, balloon powered, and all STEM vehicle projects and challenges where speed is a factor. These wheels have extremely low rotational inertia and require very little energy to change their state of rotation, this means that your dragster will accelerate and reach its top speed quicker and faster than all the rest of the competition. Remember, it is all about energy! You start with a limited amount of stored potential energy and the goal is to use that energy as efficiently as possible in order to get your vehicle to its top speed as quickly as possible. If wheels have a lot of rotational inertia, more energy will be needed to rotate the wheels and less energy will go into the forward motion of the racer itself. Because our ultra low inertia, XL2 Dragster front wheels have so little rotation inertia, your top speed vehicle will have a much greater acceleration off the line and a much higher top speed for that recored finish. These are the same wheels used on many of our top dragster mousetrap and rubber band racers.

Includes our lightweight, 1/8" inch diameter brass tubing axles that spin with less friction and will not warp like wood dowels used by many of our competitors in their kits.
