The Essential Project Packet is the same packet that is included in all of Doc Fizzix top mousetrap and rubber band powered racer kits and comes with our flexible rubber CD/DVD Inserts, friction reducing thrust washers, easy-wind snag-free propulsion system, and high tech Kevlar string. CDs and DVDs make great wheels but the biggest challenge is how to attach them to an axle. The Essential Project Packet comes with our flexible rubber CD/DVD Inserts that are designed to fit perfectly inside any standard sized CD/DVD opening in order to converts the hole size down to fit a 3/16" inch diameter axle. Our CD/DVD inserts are made from a flexible rubber that is also engineered to act as a shock absorber to help damper small bumps and imperfections along a floor's surface while providing for a smoother ride, with less wasted energy. Our shock absorbing CD/DVD Inserts will help increase both the speed and the travel distance of your mousetrap and rubber band powered STEM vehicle project.

The Essential Project Packet also includes our "easy-wind" and "snag-free" string release system that will not tangle and/or snag on release for maximum performance, a technique developed exclusively by Doc Fizzix for mousetrap and rubber band powered racers. Our snag-free propulsion system is designed to release from the drive axle once the pulling force is spent in order to maximize the coasting distance. Also includes four thrust washer to reduce side friction, one axle hook, and one meter of high-tech kevlar string.
