These super lightweight wheels have almost no rotational inertia and are the perfect design for all speed-trap dragsters or hill climbers. By using these lightweight wheels, your vehicle will be able to accelerate quicker off the start and reach its top speed well before the rest of the competition. These wheels are best used for front non-drive wheels on speed-trap dragsters. Set comes with four aluminum wheels, four rubber wheel treads, eight brass holders, and two 4" axles. These are the same wheels used on Doc Fizzix world record setting mousetrap racer that traveled 5 meters in under 1.2 seconds

Great for all speed or hill climb contest
Will all speed-trap and hill climb challenges you want to convert as much energy all possible into linear kinetic energy of motion and not into rotation energy. Low inertia wheels means that more energy from the mousetrap will be converted into linear kinetic energy of motion instead of rotational energy of the wheels. If your wheels have allot of rotational inertia more of the mousetrap's potential energy is needed to go into the turning of the wheels and therefore less energy goes into the liner motion of the vehicle, the racer does not accelerate as quickly in this case.
