Eliminating friction is the biggest key to building a successful mousetrap powered racer. Micro-ball bearings are designed to reduce the surface friction between the axle and the frame of a vehicle by as much as 50%. These micro-bearings work on any mousetrap racer and will increase both the overall speed and distance of travel by as much as 50% over any similar vehicle that does not use bearings.

For those who want to set a new record
Bearings take a little more work to set-up properly and are intended only for those individuals who want to set a new school record. This set includes four hard to find micro-ball bearings that have a 3/16-inch inner diameter and a 3/8-inch outer diameter. They are designed to fit a 3/16-inch brass tube but in some situations you will have to sand the axle down a little bit with a drill; instructions are included.

Set includes the following: 10-micro-ball bearings and instructional sheet.

Tools needed: a power drill and sandpaper.

Performance tip: soak bearings in WD-40 or rubbing alcohol before using.
